In Pictures: My Chinese New Year

In summary: Nic was so bored at home, she dragged me and our parents to go to Binondo and see the New Year happen. Manila did not disappoint: tiger (because the short ones are tiger dances) and dragon dances, news vans all around. Unlike most families, however, we were basically hell-bent on heading to 168 to buy more clothes. I’ve never really been a clothes-centric person, but the absence of a uniform (and the presence of a dress code) makes me feel that I should be more discerning of what I am to wear for the workplace.
That, and the fact that I can’t wear jeans to work–they count.

In pictures:

Epic win ang semi-photobomb ni kuya eh.

Food: Bake n’ Churn’s Chocolate Ganache. The thing may be called ‘ice cream cake,’ but it’s too sweet for my taste, and I know sweet.

We also saw Mariz Umali field reporting at the side of Binondo Church(?), and she really is pretty in person.

ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5 were all there (in different locations) to shoot the live coverage of ze Chinese New Year. I never thought that Binondo could be so chaotic.

Masuki for dinner is om nom nom. Mom and Nic would prefer eating at this place also owned by the Eng Bee Tin person, pero andami kasing tao dun eh, so I won.
I forgot the fact that these restaurants don’t serve chicken during the New Year. I was a little heartbroken.
